What a day, what a day to find treasures right here in our beautiful Brigham City Park where reflections are like portraits for posterity.  Here I am, Grandma Christensen, remembering how my sweet husband and I used to enjoy our walks in this very park after we moved here so many years ago.   Sometimes we came fishing here and enjoyed it so much because of its beauty.  Somehow that peaceful green and blue of the trees and water made up for any fish we didn't catch. We brought with us the three children we already had-Wendy, Debby, and Cindy. Julie and Peggy were born right here in the old Cooly Hospital.  It is still here, only it has another name now as an apartment house.  Some of our Family Mark and Kami Dupree rented there while waiting to find a permanent home.   Just look at those reflections and the water squirting from a faucet to keep that area sure of clean water. GRANDMA CHRISTENSEN loves her Asparagus garden.  But it does take extra care.  Lots of water - like 15 minutes every day, let them grow 4 years before starting to cut them, when you do start make sure they are at least 5 inches tall at the first cutting.  Watch carefully each day for those that finish maturing over night.  However be sure every one you cut is tall enough.  Keep them fresh in the refrigerator until you have enough for a serving.  Then cook them according to your favorite recipe.          I like to grow them in a Grow Box. It is much easier that way.  Just remember to use enough of the best soil you can get.  Keep them watered well, however not overdone.   Tip: If  you live near a stream of nice clean water you can harvest them there if it is public property.  We did that when there was a clean stream coming down the mountain.   Enjoy These are very special pictures provide...

Our neighbors on the east corner of our block planted this beautiful yellow tree.  It is a wonderful sight in the spring time, then turns all green for the summer and then looses its leaves in late Fall.  What a versatile tree this is.   This tree is a very old one.  Grandpa and I planted it when we decided the front of our house needed some shade, and it surely worked well.
