Gene McCloud Erekson FUNERAL

Image
This blog is in memory of my brother- in-law Gene Erekson. He was a good man and a good husband to my Sister Arlene and friend to Wendell and me. He passed away in May. Gene and Arlene's Head Stone near their grave in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.   Left to Right: Marie Baker, Leslie Erekson, David Erekson and Grandma Christensen.  We are treasuring this day when our beloved Arlene, my sister and Gene are back together after such a long time apart. Gene patiently waited his turn to leave the sweet care David gave him as they both wondered when Heavenly Father would call him home.  Now they rejoice with them as they see their names together on their Head Stone in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.  Peggy,  Julie, Marie Baker, and Grandma Rosalie at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The family who could be there surround the casket ready to lower Gene into his final resting place.  Now he can truly rest in peace. Gene McCloud Erekson May 20, 2022     Gene McCloud E...

Happiness Blooms From Within

Image
This beautiful thought came from a packet of pictures Julie gave me to paint for my birthday. Thank you Julie, they have made my life much more fun and beautiful! Mother's Day flowers from Cindy way up North in "Never Never Land", where anything beautiful can be found.  Thank you, Cindy, you are so thoughtful.  And to me, they represent your talented way of making everything  you do become beautiful, useful, welcoming and sharing your love for others with things they can see or feel. Thank you  more than I can put in words!!  Love you tons!! Mom. Cindy's flowers also decorated in front of the pictures of Wendell and me when we were on our mission to Spain.  The picture to it's left is one that I painted of the Incredibly high mountains in the southern  part of Chile.  The picture on the right was painted by my Brother, Ron. When you look at it for several minutes in looks like the water is moving in waves. Brock Pierce.  He has been ca...

The Wendell & Rosalie Christensen Family IN THEIR MIDDLE YEARS.

Image
Wendell was so proud of our first baby daughter, Wendy, that he took her lovingly in his arms and showed her around the outside of our apartment. Of course a lot of our neighbors came over to see her and tell us how beautiful she was. This was the beginning of the most precious experience of parenting with the kind of love you cannot have in any other way. Watching her grow and develop into motherhood herself and become a lover of serving God by serving people with problems and struggles they don't know how to deal with.  She is amazing & we are so thankful and proud of her. Here is our whole family (all Girls) who Heavenly Father blessed us with.  Wendy is on the far left with a smile that says, "I love you little sister Peggy."  I, Mother Rosalie, answer back, "She says she loves you too!!!  Next is Peggy, She and her husband Bruce are living with me at this time and take care of all the things in the house and yard.  What a great blessing to me....

IMPORTANT PICTURES FOR FAMILY HISTORY

Our Happy pappy and our loving  family Share the gifts that come from their times from being together at The Gables. We made the decision of which nursing home to choose when it became clear to both of us that I was no longer able.to give him the care that he needed. Together we chose the place that had all the facilities that needed.  And It turned to be the perfect one.  Aa first he could do games with the other people there, go to church - as they always had one of the leaders from Brigham City to take charge of this special time to feel the Spirit.  I went with him to support him.  And so did our daughters, as you can see in this precious picture .  And we kept this picture of us to help him remember that we are sti...

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE

Image
"Happy Easter" everyone"!!!  This well fed EASTER BUNNY greets everyone when they come in our front door.  I like to call her "Sister Happy" because she definitely brings big smiles to everyone who sees her. These delicious hard boiled  Easter Eggs didn't last very long.  They were too yummy to let grow old. What better way is there than to get out into the gardens and pull the weeds from the healthy Strawberry plants in our "Grow Boxes".  They are coming up really well this year.  They are multiplying very nicely. That is Grandma Christensen enjoying the fun. In fact it is so much fun I keep going until the job is finished.  The only thing that I wish is that they were ripe to eat already.  Well now, you and I both know that there is no way to hurry Mother Nature under ordinary circumstances, so we smile and wait patiently for Mr. Sunshine to do his work.  Our flowering Pink tree is so lovely and beautiful to the eyes.  We took this pic...

NEW FAMILY TIES THAT KEEP GROWING STRONGER

Image
Rochelle, Rosie, Christian, Grace Rosie: we are all so happy, especially about our new baby.  Great Grandma Christensen:  She is definitely speaking for their whole family.  And I do believe for the rest of our whole family.   Sherilyn Swenson, Great Grandma Rosalie Swenson, & Ronald Kay Swenson.  They came to visit us for a few days and boy  did we have a great time talking about old times, when Wendell and I would stop into their place to visit.  Now we all look different but act the same with our love for each other - that will never change. Great Grandma Christensen working on her pictures.  She has discovered a new manner of creating beautiful things. Pictures Grandma is copying. This is the table and the markers she uses to be able to see the pictures clearly as she works.  If you ask her which picture she likes best, she says, "All of them." And the true fact is that she has many pictures in her study that she wants to ...
