Dear Family,
In case you haven't noticed, our world is growing smaller. It is centered more and more on our personal and present needs. Not much on traveling. When we do need to go out of Brigham City it is either for an appointment or for a family event and always for a short time.
When we talk with others our conversation is about who we see and what we do which is very close to home – probably not very interesting to others.
Our main interest is that our family is doing well and, in time, & with the help of The Lord, Heavenly Father & The Holy Ghost we will all “ascend together.”

This month our travels have been to our Family Reunion, Karen and Ben's, Brigham City Museum and The moon. These pictures tell the stories:

 Visit to Quilt Show in the museum in Brigham City.  The explanation of this quilt picture (below) really caught my attention.  What do you think?

 At Karen & Ben's - We gave Tommy this spinning merry-go-round toy that our children played with when they were little.  I think my dad made it, but not sure.  - You wind the animals up by turning them around - that twists the strings around the post.  Then you let go and the animals go around.  The base stays still.  Tommy was asleep so Peter played with it.
 Collin or it might be Breaden and Taylor enjoy a little siesta.

GRANDPA'S CORNER: We are very happy to have such a family that covers half the world and the United States.  We love all of our family and think of you very often and the many things you do for us the the people in this country.  We have been blessed with the help of the Lord to have the best life in the world throughout this country and the rest of our life.  We think of you often and love to hear from you and the many things you are doing.  We hope we can get together sometime and have another family reunion like we have had in the past.  We love you and ask the Lord to bless you.  Grandpa

WHEN CHRISTMAS BROUGHT MY BELOVED MARIMBAPHONE TO ME.

 It all started when my Uncle Delbert called my parents on the phone to ask if he could bring his Marimbaphone to our house for a few months since he was painting some of the rooms in his house and he didn't want it to get all dusty.  Vida Swenson, my mom, turned to her husband, Alfred and asked him what he thought.  He quickly agreed to the  plan and within a couple of hours his marimbaphone was standing in our living room.  I watched my Dad play it several times and decided to ask him if I could play it too.  He was as excited as I was that I was asking to play this instrument.  So for several weeks he taught me some simple tunes.  Then one day he said, I think you are ready to play for parties, would you like that?  "Oh Yes!" Came my reply.  And that is what I did until my Uncle Delbert called to say he was ready to come and get his marimbaphone back. So much has happened the last couple of days that is important. So I guess I will begin with the one that is in my heart above all the others. I received this text message from my cousin, Pamela, late this afternoon: “ Dad died peacefully this afternoon. He received a blessing of love from his bishop last week and a visit of love from a former bishop this afternoon. It has been a reverent experience. Funeral Friday. “ This is my reply: “Thank you so very much for letting us know about Uncle John's passing. I'm glad we got to see him a few weeks ago and I'm also happy that he is now peaceful and happy. We are planning on coming down. Jerusha is going to bring us. Love you tons. BLESSED WITH HAPPY ENDINGS

TODAY'S STORY IS ABOUT HAPPY ENDINGS.  Here we see the happy ending to our whole day spent in the ER at the Brigham City Hospital.  I, Grandma Rosalie received a call early in the morning saying that Wendell had been taken there because he passed out sitting at the breakfast table.  Chris quickly took me there and we watched and prayed all day while they did all the tests they could give to determine the cause.  At one point I called our neighbor, Brother Peck to come and help Chris give Wendell a blessing.  Even though he was leaving in an hour to go out of town he came.  The blessing that Chris gave after Brother Peck anointed was a beautiful one of recovery.  I was surprised, but relieved.  And it seemed to me that it was soon after the blessing that he looked and responded to directions better.   After he was discharged with the diagnosis that they didn't know the cause, but to keep close checks on him. We headed for The gables....
