THANKS FOR THANKSGIVING

THANKS FOR THANKSGIVING

What a day it was as part of the Royer family gathered at Grandma Christensen's home in Brigham City on a very snowy day to celebrate Families, Food & Fun.  Only the very brave dared to "hit the road" to be part of the grand party to give "thanks" to Heavenly Father for our great country and the many blessings we enjoy.  Here is just a "taste" of what we put on our activity plate.

Peggy and River, the very young and the young in heart prepared to go outside and build a snow man.
Competition will be fierce in this game as you can see by the expressions of Jake, Nita, Bruce and Emily.

"Lets just rest a while."  Agree Gr. Christensen and Owen.

R
"Remember how we used to do this?"  Says Bruce to Emily.  "Yes" she replies as they both give out and crash to the floor.
"We've had it."  Say Jennie, Bryce, Bruce and Emily.   Just time to rest before enjoying those beautiful deserts.
Peggy and Jennie are excited about the grand and glorious prolific pile of pies they have to satisfy anyone's preference.
Oh look, our young and young at heart have finished their snow man.  And what a beauty it is.

Now the most important decision had to be made:  Is it time to head for home before the roads get too bad or should we stay over night.  Everyone voiced their opinion and the decision was made to head for home.  Oh boy, you would have to see it to believe it, but it happened - in just a few minutes everyone was gone taking with them some of the goodies and all of their memories of an almost perfect day.  Why was it not "perfect?"  Because we were missing some of the Royer Bunch who couldn't make it.  We entered into the clean-up of the kitchen as we enjoyed talking about our beautiful day together with those who did make it.  After a while Peggy got a call on her cell phone that everyone had arrived safely back at Jennies.  "Yea!!!"  We hollered.  And as we knelt at our usual place to have our family prayer, we prayed a real PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING for the safety of all of our traveling family, and for having a wonderful, loving family including those who were not able to be with us this day but who will join us on other occations.
So with joy and gladness we bid you all "good night" and God be with everyone of the Royer Bunch and the Christensen extended family.  All in favor say, "I."
