FUN WITH GRANDCHILDREN AND GREAT GRANDCHILDREN

Dear Family,  We hope you all have fun with this month's Blog.  Peggy, Bruce and I, Grandma Christensen, love the times we spend together.  And you know that we love to take pictures!  Only one thing could have been nicer for this, Emily's 25th Birthday Party  & family get together = having everyone in the family there.  But we all know that is almost impossible, so we will be happy with what we can get.

Now for the fun stuff:

In this darling picture are Teddy, Brit, Grandma Peggy, Nora, Grandma Christensen, Finn, & Glen.

What a great family to start with!  Or to end with.  That might be determined by how Teddy does with his new "at home" super talent for making special kinds of knives and other metal things which is a fine hobby.  What is the saying?, "Life is full of a number of things .... that could make us all be happy as kings."  Maybe your knives will bring you that blessing.  Although you all look like you are almost there already.  After all, it is the LOVE along with the POSITIVE ATTITUDE that provides that precious gift.

Oh look, Glen, Finn & Nora have come to visit  Grandma Christensen.  Grandma is so glad to see them that she would jump off of her chair if she could, she told them.  That made them laugh, even Nora,

Nora and I are having fun playing "Patty-cake.  She knows how it goes very well.  She helped me to feel very happy to have her actually sit on my lap for long enough to "pat the cake."  I
Now here we find Emily,
Madam Librarian opening her Birthday gifts and totally enjoying it.

Mary, now our college student, is studying hard - using the good ways she learned to do it on her mission.  Right Mary?  Well, from her expression maybe "not right."  I guess only time will tell.  However, my prediction is that she is going to hit the top marks because she likes the flavor of them.  As her Grandma I got to talk to her while she was serving Heavenly Father on her mission and, believe me, there was no stopping her from finding ways to touch the hearts or curiosity of those she was teaching,

Juanita & Willow are enjoying a nice hug.  Nita looks so happy that she can give her little niece such tender hugs and Willow is quite content to be loved & hugged.  And it isn't often that she slows down to relax.
That picture brings tears to my eyes for that is how Heavenly Father wants all of  us to feel towards each other.  Let us all remember to do exactly that!  In fact that is what Birthday Parties are all about.  Right?  RIGHT!
If anyone questions that statement please come to me, Grandma Christensen, & we can share our ideas.

Willow loving her lunch.  Isn't she a darling happy doll!  Look how she eats and laughs at the same time, and is careful to keep her feet raised so her Dinner will not slip to the floor.  And by all means take note of her glorious hair tied to keep it high on top of her head.  I wonder if it is heavy for her.  What do you think?  However, no matter what we think she loves it that way.
I love you, River! From Grandma Christensen.

Can you guess who that is in the chair way back there?  If not now you will know when you look at the other pictures.

Jake, Nita, River, & Owen are totally interested in the opening of Birthday gifts.  The pile of wrappings on the floor say to anyone who will take a moment to do it will get the applause from the audience.  And this Grandma Rosalie doesn't bend over that far to pick it up.  But maybe, someone else will come along who loves to gather up pretty paper and fold it nicely so it can be used again.  In fact if someone would pick it up and put it on my lap, I would do the folding!  BIG SMILE.

River loving her pictures & Grandma Christensen agreeing.  They are totally enjoying being with each other as well as the pictures.
Are they having fun yet?

Grandmother Peggy Royer & River enjoy River's necklace that was one of her gifts from Grandma & Grandpa Christensen.  They had been saving them up for many years and one day, not long ago They decided to share them with our Posterity.

River sure gets around doesn't she!  The necklace she is showing off is from the treasures that Grandma and Grandpa Christensen set aside from their jewelry for their grandchildren, both young and old.  We hope they love it now, take good care of it so they can pass it on to their grandchildren.

MayLynn, wearing her hair pulled back in a pony tail, with the camera as one of her gifts from Grandma and Grandpa Christensen, along with her necklace and watch.  The camera is one that I, Rosalie, used for years as my only camera.  It served me well and still works.  The reason that I stopped using it was that there were so many things that the newer cameras could do that I finally decided to keep it only as a cherished partner in my picture taking career.  So, MayLynn, we hope you enjoy the fun of  taking pictures with this history-making camera.

Jennie & MayLynn just enjoying each other as MayLynn shares her party joys with her Mom, who is enjoying the fun.  And we want to thank her for how nice she made our day at her home, so fun and full of love!!!  She was busy as a bee all the day, but she even found time to walk to the car with us when we were ready to go back to Brigham City.  What a dear she is so here are some loves and hugs for you, Jennie, XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO!

Grandma Rosalie returned home and resting.  Enough said - except she said she loved every minute of their visit at Jennie's to celebrate.  And celebrate we did!!!

Rosalie and Wendell's pet Bear and Bunny are happy together  just like Wendell and Rosalie were when he was called to serve a mission for Heavenly Father up in Heaven.  They had already served Missions here on earth when he went on a mission to the Northern California Mission and she went on a Stake Mission in Provo, Utah.  Then they served 3 full time missions together in Spain, Madrid, Chili & Easter Island and are looking forward to when they WILL be physically together again to serve a full time mission for Heavenly Father in Heaven.!  Just thinking about it brings a great big smile to me, Grandma Rosalie.
