FAMILY FUN
FAMILY FUN WHILE WORKING
Welcome to our day of fun as we laugh and play see who can earn the Number One Worker of the day.
Take note of the different kinds of work we are doing, who the workers are, who are the most happy, who is most helpful to others. Then ask for your assignment from me or Grandpa or Grandma Royer
Here comes May Lynn to help Peggy and Bruce. They look like they mean business. May Lynn even let me wear her mascot white and blue kitty (I think it is), to help me direct some of the fun.
Getting started.
Peggy, Bruce, & MayLynn begin the huge job of laying the protective plastic. They sure look like they know what they are doing. Lets ask.
"Excuse us, please. Exactly what are you doing with this big sheet of plastic?"
"We are cutting the plastic to fit on top of the Grow Boxes to protect the plants so they can grow well." Replies Peggy. "It is really fun!" calls MayLynn. Not a word is heard from Bruce's spot.
And away they go to get this project completed.
Soooo off we go to ask River if she is pouring "River Water" on her head to make sure she grows nice and tall?" She laughs and says, "You guess what I am doing." So we start guessing: "Feeding the roots to your hair?" "No." "Cleaning the water bottle?" "You are getting close." "Emptying the water bottle?" "You got it." She Laughed.
I am thinking,"What could be any better than this precious child share her love with me?"
Now she signals for me to help her put on her new shoes and then climbs up into her chair again to show them off. There is something Angelic in our relationship together.
After a bit she is ready for more adventure and signals for me to follow her to see what the others are doing. So obedient Great Grandmother follows her to..............
So Willow, who do you see over there? Yes, it is your daddy and he is still filling his wheelbarrow with dirt to fill in the areas that need it. I think that is River over there helping him. And it might be Maylynn too.
Let's go talk to him. So We walk over to ask him how he is enjoying his nice work. He saw us coming and decided it was a good time to sit in his wheelbarrow and rest a while as we visit. The girls join in and so does Willow with her chatter.
Pretty soon here comes Peggy with some drinks and cookies. Isn't that just like her to be so thoughtful. So we all stop for a bit of a rest before Daddy Bruce continues his fun work.
What do you know, there is Owen out taking his turn to fill in the places that need it. He is working fast like he wants to get his turn over quickly. So I guess we won't bother him. However, here comes his mom with a bottle of Root Beer for him. SMILE. What a mom!!
Now here is an interesting view showing Peggy adding plants to the grow boxes as well as fill dirt. We can see that all the plastic has disappeared. It was moved under everything to begin with. Now Peggy has her hands full both planting new plants and weeding. She still has a smile on her face so she must be happy with her work.
Look at Bruce giving Willow a ride in his wheel barrow.
They are both loving the ride. At least I think Bruce likes to make Willow happy. So let's watch them go.
Now Willow is helping her grandpa . How about that. She is a tiny little toddler to manage that tall shovel. But I think I see Grandpa on his way to help her. Yep, here he comes. That is a great way to teach her that he loves her help and loves to help her. They will both be ready for another long rest. Maybe they will even get another nap. He will be able to be her hero again as they stretch out on the cool grass and he tells her the story about how he learned to love work. She asks him, why? And he tells her another story about how his daddy showed him how much fun it was when he was a little boy as they dropped off to sleep in their soft green grass. She gave him one of her giggliest giggles as she gave him a big hug.
It looks like everyone is helping now. Sure enough, There is Grandpa & Owen with Maylynn hurring to bring them drinks. They look like they are more than just water - like Sodapop of different kinds. Just what sweaty hot workers need! Of course along with another rest on the soft green grass.
Everyone is looking forward to this day of working together to accomplish A MIRACLE. Yes, That it will be just like when mother earth was created.
Then we can all celebrate like the heavens did on that glorious day so many centuries ago. "Yea!!"Peggy
Peggy is now surveying the area where they will be working, determining how to put the puzzle together in the best serviceable way. She is very good at that also. See, there is a blessing that is given from every service!
So we will be her cheering team and make the organization complete.
So here they go adding this and that to pull this beautiful arrangement together. Just look at that pile of dirt from their digging filling the shovel head! It is all pleasing to their working group who must be whistling while they work. We are sure of this because that is the family tradition.
May Lynn is waving us a big smile. Can't you just see the smile notes traveling through the air like big Note signs? You may draw them there if you like. They look like o o o o.
It surely looks like Owen is about to fall asleep or looking at a tiny criter wandering through the grass. He has been working so hard at figuring out how to capture it but it keeps avoiding his trap. "Boring is what he is thinking. All that he really is most likely wanting is to be replaced on his duty. But, true to his promise, he remains on his post like a loyal soldier boy.
Besides that he has a box of All Day Suckers to provide both energy and happiness. So he remains the VERY LOYAL Soldier Boy with a big smile on his face. Three cheers for our handsome, wise, and clever soldier boy. We will love him forever, forget him? NO NEVER.
THE NEXT TWO ARRANGEMENTS ARE SO BEAUTIFUL THAT THEY RUN COMPETITION WITH Thanksgiving Point THAT YOU CAN VISIT any time.
Notice the Deer Guarding the beautiful boxes containing the plants that are already growing. He is a highly trusted deer that we know will not eat those luscious plants. Oh dear, i just learned it isn't a deer, it is a wheelbarrow.
Just look at that wheelbarrow. Yes it is for real. And see the shovel standing next to it as if to say to everyone who has worked so hard, "You may all go take a nice nap while the rest of us enjoy the lovely view." And "Thank you." to all those who helped prepare this last spot for its finishing touches.
Now everyone have an exceptionally good day!
Your happy Blogger.
Now the day is over. Night is drawing nigh. Shadows of the evening steel across the sky. We wish lovely dreams for everyone, and wishes granted too, for all our precious family - that is you, and you, and YOU!
