We made the decision of which nursing home to choose when it became clear to both of us that I was no longer able.to give him the care that he needed. Together we chose the place that had all the facilities that needed.  And It turned to be the perfect one.  Aa first he could do games with the other people there, go to church - as they always had one of the leaders from Brigham City to take charge of this special time to feel the Spirit.  I went with him to support him.  And so did our daughters, as you can see in this precious picture .  And we kept this picture of us to help him remember that we are sti...

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE

Image
"Happy Easter" everyone"!!!  This well fed EASTER BUNNY greets everyone when they come in our front door.  I like to call her "Sister Happy" because she definitely brings big smiles to everyone who sees her. These delicious hard boiled  Easter Eggs didn't last very long.  They were too yummy to let grow old. What better way is there than to get out into the gardens and pull the weeds from the healthy Strawberry plants in our "Grow Boxes".  They are coming up really well this year.  They are multiplying very nicely. That is Grandma Christensen enjoying the fun. In fact it is so much fun I keep going until the job is finished.  The only thing that I wish is that they were ripe to eat already.  Well now, you and I both know that there is no way to hurry Mother Nature under ordinary circumstances, so we smile and wait patiently for Mr. Sunshine to do his work.  Our flowering Pink tree is so lovely and beautiful to the eyes.  We took this pic...

NEW FAMILY TIES THAT KEEP GROWING STRONGER

Image
Rochelle, Rosie, Christian, Grace Rosie: we are all so happy, especially about our new baby.  Great Grandma Christensen:  She is definitely speaking for their whole family.  And I do believe for the rest of our whole family.   Sherilyn Swenson, Great Grandma Rosalie Swenson, & Ronald Kay Swenson.  They came to visit us for a few days and boy  did we have a great time talking about old times, when Wendell and I would stop into their place to visit.  Now we all look different but act the same with our love for each other - that will never change. Great Grandma Christensen working on her pictures.  She has discovered a new manner of creating beautiful things. Pictures Grandma is copying. This is the table and the markers she uses to be able to see the pictures clearly as she works.  If you ask her which picture she likes best, she says, "All of them." And the true fact is that she has many pictures in her study that she wants to ...

BLESSINGS OF A NEW YEAR

Image
EXPLORING THANKSGIVING POINT    Julie and Great Grandma Christensen begin exploring Thanksgiving Point. This new sign introduces us to the new area that has been added to Thanksgiving Point in the last few years. A whole family who knows that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the World.  Stands close to the entrance of the statue area. A woman touches the robe of Jesus asking forgiveness of her sins. Jesus feeding the birds.  Signifying that all his creations are important to Him. Jesus has been accused of many things by people who are sinners and He kneels down and begins writing something in the sand.  We cannot see what he writes, but they can and one by one they all leave his presence except the lady standing in the background who stays to listen to Jesus.  Jesus stays kneeling and asks the lady, "Where ar...

Winter WORK AND FUN Again

Image
Remember the song "lET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW"?  That is exactly what it did for us on this beautiful day. What a invigorating background for our lounging chairs, flowers in front of the window and the car & house across the street.  Such wonderful, beautiful vigorous days the snow gift brought to us.  So we want to thank our Heavenly Father for knowing how to make it and send it safely to us. The trees and shrubs are breathing "Thanks" for the snow, also  we do believe. And  the cleared white walkway looks as safe as walking on dry ground. That puff of cloud in the sky deceives us into thinking that it is going to be a lovely clear day, when actually there are more clouds behind that one and the sun may be totally hidden.  Who knows?  Do you?  Really only Heavenly Father knows, so we will wait and see.    Meanwhile, lets see what is happening with our great snow shoveler, Peggy Royer.  I wonder where she could be. Oh...
