Merry Christmas this December  20, 2018 Our Christmas letter this year is one of THANKFULNES for our Savior, Jesus Christ. We are so grateful that he was willing to offer himself so that we can have the blessings and opportunity to become as He and His Father are, knowing and feeling perfect love for all of us & living in total happiness in the Celestial Kingdom. That is the sweetest goal we all can strive to attain. So we are thankful for the testimonies that Wendell and I have and share with each other when I visit with him. He always asks me, “Are we married?” “How long will we be married?” “Do you have other husbands?” Then we talk about how Jesus Christ has made it so that when we are resurrected we will be together again FOREVER. He has a big smile for that part of the story. "That's Progress," I think when I look at our Family Motto, "I lift thee and thee lift me and together we will ascend."  So this is a report of Grandpa's and Grandma's PROGRESS last week.  The pictures tell the story: Last Monday I took my clippers with me and performed a miracle cut on Wendell's hair.  It had gotten out of control.  Left - All ready to cut.  Right - all finished.  Just at my tall handsome husband! Yes it all took place last Saturday, October 27, 2018.  What a wonderful thing to bring two more special people into our family to include in our Motto: "I lift thee and thee lift me and together we will ascend."  The pictures tell some of the story.  Sorry some are sideways.  The wedding dinner was held at a lovely restaurant where  Mark & Wendy treated us to a wonderful experience of ordering the item on the menu that we liked best.  Left to right - Mark, Rachelle, Chris, Rosie, Wendy, & Grace.  I, Rosalie, took the picture.  Rosie had many helpers to put together the lovely wedding and reception.  This friend of hers is adding the gold trim to the perfect red tiered cake she made. October 13, 2018 - Patriarchal Blessings.   It was January 19, 1947  when I was 16 that I received my Patriarchal Blessing.  As I listened to the Patriarch's words carefully and read it later these words stood out to me above all the rest, "Walk uprightly so that your life might be happy.  Choose a good partner in life.  That is a very important thing; that, to choose a good partner in life.  So I bless you with wisdom, health and good judgement so that you might be wise in your choice." At that time I was going with a young man.  We had talked seriously about marriage.  When I read my Patriarchal blessing and prayed for the wisdom that Patriarch Eves had promised me I knew what I needed to do.  I had to tell him that I no longer could go out with him and we could not be married. "I lift thee and thee lift me and together we will ascend," again our family Motto meshes with something else = "Saints" is a new series of books that have been compiled from the histories of Joseph Smith, his wife, Emma, his mother, Lucy Mack Smith, Orson Pratt & Joseph F. Smith, with comments about the book by Skousen & Hart and others.  Plus it tells the story that is in the D&C and the Book of Mormon.  However it is written in an exciting story form. Julie and I were talking about it and we are both convinced it adds many surprising things to the knowledge that is given us in the D&C and bears witness to both the D&C and the Book of Mormon. Why am I telling you this?  It is because it has become one of my "Sacred Stories" of Personal Revelation.  While reading this book on my i-pad revelation has come to me that has brought me to tears and strengthening my testimony of how the Lord works.
